Special Situations and Common Questions
What if I have bad credit and am refused by multiple insurance companies?
If you are refused by five insurance companies consecutively, you can appeal to Quebec's Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA).
At that point, the fifth company that refused you must provide you with a policy, but coverage is very limited, typically only providing the legally required minimum Third-Party Liability coverage (e.g., $500,000).
This is general information only and does not constitute insurance advice. Your policy wording and a licensed broker's confirmation prevail.
